Robin Hood Learning + Technology Fund Opportunity
- June 18–July 22
The Robin Hood Learning + Technology Fund (the Fund) is a joint effort of Robin Hood, the Overdeck Family Foundation and Siegel Family Endowment to unlock the potential of technology to transform learning and advance achievement for low-income students in New York City. In service of this, the Fund is exploring integrating computational thinking into the school curriculum to drive learning outcomes in high-poverty elementary schools and is actively seeking partners to engage in this work.
In a unique opportunity open only to 100Kin10 partners, The Fund seeks proposals for up to $500,000 in funding to work with one or more high-poverty elementary schools in New York City to integrate computational thinking into a core subject area, such as math, literacy, science or social studies, and to grow the capacity of teachers to support computational thinking in the classroom.
Please note that 100Kin10 is not involved in the review of proposals.

Diversifying the STEM Pipeline Survey
- April 10–June 4
The Diversifying the STEM Teacher Pipeline Project Team is interested in learning more about how current programs, organizations, and 100Kin10 partners are directly engaged in the recruitment, preparation, and retention of pre-service teachers to diversify the STEM teacher workforce. While most education preparation programs seek to serve all teacher candidates, they particularly want to know more from programs that are specifically supporting efforts to reduce diversity gaps that exist within their local communities. Thank you in advance for taking and sharing this 6-8 minute survey — it will help them share practices and ideas across the network to better serve historically underrepresented groups in STEM teaching.
Partnerships in Experiential-Based Learning Survey
- March 19–April 2
Having access to robust experiential learning opportunities in science should be a given for all students. However, many young people graduate from high school only having “seen” science, and never having “done” it. Please help the Collaboratively Developing Experiential Learning Activities in Science Project Team by taking this 10 minute to survey to share your perspective on how schools and science-rich institutions can partner together to provide meaningful, science-rich experiences.
