Join the Foundational Math Brain Trust
- What:
- Join the Foundational Math Brain Trust to guide how we "get smart" on the challenges at the core of this issue.
- When:
- April 1–26
- About:
Research shows that early math skills are a major predictor of success later in school and in life. Math is foundational not only to increasing access to STEM for all students, but also to increasing the number of people able to contribute to the STEM workforce, especially those traditionally underrepresented. Recognizing this, we are “getting smart” on the challenges at the core of this issue and inviting 100Kin10 partners and select teachers to join the Foundational Math Brain Trust to guide this work.

Diversifying the STEM Pipeline Survey
- When:
- April 10–June 4
- About:
The Diversifying the STEM Teacher Pipeline Project Team is interested in learning more about how current programs, organizations, and 100Kin10 partners are directly engaged in the recruitment, preparation, and retention of pre-service teachers to diversify the STEM teacher workforce. While most education preparation programs seek to serve all teacher candidates, they particularly want to know more from programs that are specifically supporting efforts to reduce diversity gaps that exist within their local communities. Thank you in advance for taking and sharing this 6-8 minute survey — it will help them share practices and ideas across the network to better serve historically underrepresented groups in STEM teaching.
